Can you accommodate vegetarian meals or dietary restrictions?

Of course! Just let us know when you book.

What should I wear?

Long pants, warm layers, windbreaker, cap, sunglasses, and sports or hiking shoes. You should also bring sunscreen, bottled water, and personal identification (required). You can download the detailed equipment list here.

How many people are on the trek?

We try to organize private tours whenever possible, but you might share the hike with up to 2 additional people.

Depending on the route, we may cross streams — some have small bridges, others are simple to cross on foot. If you prefer, you can bring a spare pair of shoes to change into after the hike.

What’s the usual temperature like?

This depends on the season. In winter, snow and temperatures as low as -10°C are possible, making good footwear and a warm jacket essential. In summer, temperatures can still drop close to 0°C. It’s always important to bring warm clothing.

How do I choose the best route for me in Cordón del Plata?

It depends on your goals and physical condition. When you contact us, we’ll advise you on the ideal route. It’s important to trust our team’s guidance at all times, including during the trek, as we might adjust the route based on how you are feeling.

Can the itinerary change?

Yes. The itinerary is subject to general mountain conditions, access, and the participants’ condition. The guide may modify it without prior notice if deemed necessary for the group’s safety and experience, while trying to maintain similar schedules and difficulty levels.

What if the weather is bad?

Hiking in the Andes means adapting to mountain weather. You must be prepared for adverse conditions — both in winter and summer — and be mentally ready to face them. Make sure you bring most of the items from the recommended gear list.

Our policy is flexible: if you cancel up to 48 hours before the activity, we’ll refund 100% of your payment. If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before, you’ll receive a 50% refund. After that, unfortunately, no refunds can be made.
