FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is previous experience required?
No. This is an easy hike with no technical difficulty, suitable for everyone.
The trail covers about 4 km along a simple path with gentle slopes.
What food is included?
We provide a cereal bar and bottled water for any time during the activity.
Breakfast is in Uspallata and includes coffee and two croissants (or an equivalent option).
Lunch includes an appetizer (empanada), a main course (barbecue with sides), dessert, a soft drink, and wine.
Can you accommodate vegetarian meals or dietary restrictions?
Of course! Just let us know when you book.
What should I wear?
Long pants, warm layers, windbreaker, cap, sunglasses, and sports or trekking shoes.
You should also bring sunscreen, bottled water, and personal identification (required). You can download the detailed gear list here.
Will we visit the best restaurants?
Throughout the tour, we’ll be in remote areas far from the typical gastronomic spots of Mendoza city.
Within the possibilities the region offers, we choose the best available restaurants, but it’s important not to compare them to the city’s options.
Where do you offer pick-up?
We offer pick-up from downtown Mendoza and anywhere within a 15 km radius.
Pick-up from Valle de Uco or locations beyond that range is not included.
Can the tour be canceled due to bad weather?
In general, the tour operates even in bad weather, since the entire route follows paved roads.
It would only be canceled in the event of major snowstorms, provided we can foresee them, since mountain weather is highly unpredictable and sometimes gives no advance warning.
Is access to Aconcagua always possible?
The road leading to Aconcagua is controlled by border authorities, who sometimes enforce preventive closures without prior notice during winter (only) or in the event of accidents.
Thanks to our experience, we are sometimes able to anticipate closures, but not always.
It’s important to keep this in mind when booking the tour.
How many people are on the tour?
We try to organize private tours whenever possible, but you might share the tour with up to 8 other guests.
Are there bathrooms along the route?
Since the route crosses mountain terrain, facilities are limited.
At the stops, restrooms are rustic, and there won’t be many comfortable places available for restroom breaks.
How is the entrance to Aconcagua Park managed?
The park is administered by the Mendoza government authorities and may be closed at times due to weather conditions or other reasons.
Facilities like restrooms are not always operational.
If entering the park is essential for you, please let us know in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our policy is flexible: if you cancel up to 48 hours before the activity, we’ll refund 100% of your payment.
If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before, we’ll refund 50%.
After that, unfortunately, no refunds can be made.
