FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does the full meal service include?

Breakfasts, lunches, snacks, dinners, and trail snacks for the two days.

Menus are defined according to the logistics of the activity, but some of the meals you might enjoy include:

  • Risotto with bacon
  • Pasta with meat sauce
  • Pasta with mushrooms
  • Sandwich with homemade bread, cold cuts, tomato, and avocado
  • Rice with sautéed vegetables
  • Grilled meats
  • Cheese and cold cut platters
  • Fajitas
  • Fresh fruits, nuts, granola bars, oatmeal cookies, etc.

Important: if you are vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know when booking.

Which itinerary should I choose?

It will depend on your training and mountain experience. You can choose any of the suggested routes or customize it further.

  • If you train regularly but have never been at altitude, we recommend choosing the low-demand option for a first experience.
  • If you have very good fitness but no mountain experience, we recommend the medium-demand Option A. To attempt Option B, prior experience in mountain trekking is required.
  • If you want a high-intensity challenge, the high-demand option is ideal. You must have experience and excellent physical condition.

If you are unsure about your fitness level, please contact us — we’ll be happy to advise you.

What if I’m missing equipment?

We can recommend rental houses and assist you in choosing the most appropriate gear for the activity.

How are the groups organized?

Since this is a personalized experience, groups are private and require a minimum of two participants. Even if you meet other groups, each will have their own guide to ensure a fully tailored and optimal experience.

What is the accommodation like?

You can choose between staying at a mountain refuge or camping.

Both options are included in the service.

  • The mountain refuge is rustic, and both the bathrooms and rooms are shared. You must bring your own sleeping bag.
  • If camping, we’ll stay at a fully wild spot with no bathrooms or infrastructure. You must bring your own sleeping bag and insulating sleeping pad.
At what altitude do we sleep and start the trek?

All activities will begin at 2950 meters above sea level, in the refuge zone, where we’ll also spend the night.
We’ll reach the area by vehicle, and since it will be parked nearby, you can bring extra clothes for your comfort without needing to carry them during the trek.

Can I do this activity if I’ve never done mountain hiking before?

Yes, the lower-demand itineraries are designed for beginners.
However, you must have a minimum fitness level because all activities take place above 3,000 meters, where altitude significantly increases physical demand.

Is it possible to do this in winter?

It is possible between June and September, but conditions vary each year regarding snowfall and temperatures.
If you wish to do it in winter, flexibility is necessary to adapt the plan to mountain conditions.
If it’s your first experience, we do not recommend attempting it during this period.

What is the best season to do these treks?

The best time, avoiding extreme weather, is between November and April.
November and April are the coldest months.
December, January, February, and March have milder temperatures.
Still, remember that in the Andes, it’s always cool.

Can I reach a 4000-meter summit in 2 days?
