This tour invites you to discover the breathtaking Laguna del Diamante, located at 3300 masl in the San Carlos region.
Set within an ancient volcanic crater, this lagoon is one of Mendoza’s main sources of fresh water, feeding the Diamante River.
The adventure begins in Mendoza city, traveling along the famous Route 40 for about 200 km (approximately 3 hours) until we reach the Alvarado checkpoint, where we’ll enter the Laguna del Diamante Nature Reserve.
From there, we’ll drive 40 km along a mountain road crossing the Andes, with spectacular views of the range.
Along the way, you’ll have the chance to observe native flora and fauna as we make our way to the final destination: Laguna del Diamante.
Once there, you can relax and connect with the harmony of nature. We’ll end the day with a delicious lunch surrounded by majestic mountains.

How many people are on the tour?
We try to organize private tours whenever possible, but you might share the experience with up to 2 additional people.
Why isn’t the entrance fee to the reserve included?
The entrance fee isn’t included because the authorities frequently change the price and payment methods.
We can help you arrange the permit, but we cannot make advance payments on your behalf.
Payment must be made through Mercado Pago (online) or Pago Fácil (in person).
If you’d like us to handle the payment for you, an additional fee applies to cover processing costs. Please ask us for the current rate.
When is the park open?
The park is usually open from December to March, but the road conditions are highly sensitive to rain and snowfall.
Thus, the opening date may be delayed, or the season may end earlier than expected.
We always do our best to check the road conditions in advance and will offer alternative options if access is not possible.
Can the tour be canceled due to bad weather?
Yes. The road conditions for this activity require good weather to ensure safe travel.
If there is a confirmed forecast of bad weather, the tour will be canceled.
Although we do everything possible to anticipate changes, mountain weather can be highly unpredictable, and forecasts may not always be accurate.
We kindly ask for your understanding in the event of circumstances beyond our control.
Are there bathrooms along the route?
Since the route crosses mountain terrain, facilities are limited.
At the stops, restrooms are rustic, and there will not be many comfortable places available along the way.

Our policy is flexible: if you cancel up to 48 hours before the activity, we’ll refund 100% of your payment.
If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before, we’ll refund 50%.
After that, unfortunately, no refunds can be made.
