      FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level of physical fitness do I need?

This activity requires a moderate to high level of physical effort.
Keep in mind that we start at 3000 masl, and the trails are steep.
The total hike is 14 km (round trip), and we must maintain a steady pace because we need to exit the Park before closing time.

      What food is included?

We provide a cereal bar and two pieces of fruit for the hike.
Lunch will be a picnic-style meal with cheese, salami, homemade bread, eggs, potato chips, tomato, hummus, etc., or a sandwich depending on availability.

      What clothing should I wear?

Long pants, a warm layer, a windbreaker, a cap, gloves, sunglasses, and trekking or sports shoes.
Your personal gear should also include sunscreen, bottled water, personal ID, and any essential items you might need.
You can download our suggested gear list here.

Where do you offer pick-up service?

We pick up from Mendoza city center and locations within a 15 km radius.
Valle de Uco and areas beyond 15 km are not included.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

In mountain trekking activities, we must adapt to the weather.
Be prepared for adverse conditions and mentally ready to face them.
Make sure you bring most of the items from the recommended gear list.

How many people are on the tour?

We always try to run private tours whenever possible.
However, you may share your hike with a group of up to 6 people maximum.

What altitude does the hike start at?

We start the hike at 3000 masl and reach up to 3440 masl at Confluencia Camp.

      What temperatures should I expect?

Even though this activity only runs from November to March, temperatures can still drop close to 0°C.
It’s important to bring warm clothing and a waterproof windbreaker.

Why is the park entrance fee not included?

The Aconcagua Park authorities frequently change the entrance fees and payment methods.
We can assist you with the process, but the payment must be made personally.
You can pay digitally via Mercado Pago or in person at Pago Fácil.
If you prefer that we manage the payment for you, please note there is an additional administrative fee — contact us for the current rate.

Can we start the tour later?

No. The tour has a strict schedule.
The park entrance closes at 11:00 a.m., and getting there from Mendoza can take over 3 hours depending on traffic.
This is why we depart between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. without exceptions.

How fast do we need to walk?

Since the park closes at 5:30 p.m., we must keep a continuous walking pace throughout the hike.
      We cannot take long breaks.

Can we stop at Puente del Inca?

We always try to include a quick stop at Puente del Inca, but it depends on the schedule, road conditions, and weather.
Sometimes we may not have enough time, as the trek is quite long.

Can we spend a lot of time at Confluencia?

      Unfortunately, no.
Since this is a one-day activity, and we cover 400 km by vehicle and 14 km on foot, our time at the camp is limited.
We usually spend about 45 minutes there to have lunch before starting the return journey.

      What is the cancellation policy?

      Our policy is flexible:
If you cancel up to 48 hours before the activity, you’ll receive a 100% refund.
If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before, you’ll receive a 50% refund.
No refunds are possible within 24 hours of the tour.
