Trekking & Barbecue

Las Lajas-Las Vegas Post / Frontal Range “Cordón del Plata”.

Do you want to live a wonderful experience that combines trekking, the frontal mountain range of the Andes and a varied natural beauty, without worrying about the physical effort?

To this, we add a traditional experience, where the locals, commonly called Gauchos, will prepare a spectacular barbecue for us.

Well, we have an ideal excursion for you.

We will pick you up at your lodging and we will go to the Potrerillos area, less than 100 kilometers from the city of Mendoza. We will enter the frontal range at about 2,400 meters above sea level. There you will get to know how the locals and their breeding animals live in an authentic mountain ranch.

During the trek you will find typical fauna such as condors, guanacos and foxes.

And once we reach the highest part of the route, you will be able to observe Potrerillos, its beautiful dam and the pre-mountain range.

At the beginning of the descent, our local host will surprise us with asado criollo, with the best Argentinean meat, prepared by a Gaucho.

And if you prefer not to eat meat, just let us know and we will prepare a vegetarian menu.

Anything else? Yes! We will offer you pure Mendoza wine.

This activity is designed for you to enjoy a light hike. Therefore, no previous experience is required and it can be done with the family.
